That is the information given at the workshop on thyroid and breast ultrasound organized by the Binh Phuoc Provincial Department of Health and the Provincial Staff Health Care and Protection Board in coordination with Phuong Nam Medical Equipment Company Limited (Ho Chi Minh City) this morning, September 18.
The workshop was attended by more than 100 doctors from medical centers of districts, towns, cities and medical examination and treatment facilities in the province.
At the workshop, Specialist Doctor II Do Thi Nguyen, Deputy Director of the Department of Health, Deputy Head of the Provincial Staff Health Care and Protection Board, said: Currently, breast and thyroid are quite common diseases in life. And ultrasound is an imaging diagnostic technique that helps doctors detect early, accurately and improve the effectiveness of treatment for patients. Therefore, the workshop is a forum for doctors to listen, share experiences in diagnosis and update new points in the treatment of breast and thyroid diseases.
Specialist Doctor I Nguyen Quang Trong, General Secretary of the Vietnam Ultrasound Association, a reporter at the workshop presented 4 topics, including: Breast diseases and the role of diagnostic tools; update of ACR-BIRADS classification of breast; update of ACR-TIRADS classification of thyroid and FNA technique of breast and thyroid.
This afternoon, under the guidance of doctors from Ho Chi Minh City, In Ho Chi Minh City, 100 doctors from medical centers of districts, towns, cities and medical facilities in the province practiced breast and thyroid ultrasound on patients. This helps to accurately and effectively apply the knowledge that was discussed at the workshop.
